I’ve been going to the same salon for years and the same Hairdresser there for a few years. I can’t imagine letting my hair be colored on a first meeting with a new hairdresser. So sorry you have to give a first hand account of this Cautionary tale.

I once streaked my hair blonde but ended up all blonde. So I went to a salon and they fixed it, it was beautiful so when I needed the roots done I went back and had the same women which was the manager do it. Well she highlighted my hair but never touched the dark roots, it looked terrible. It cost me $150.00 she did fix it a few days later, but I have never been back there since.

I have totally had a similar experience. A few months ago, I went into my hairdresser asking to get more blonde highlights and some brown ones intermixed in my hair. At this point, my hair had blonde and strawberry blonde in it. I am a natural brunette. Anyway, my hairdresser put a TON of brown into my hair to the point that it almost had a purplish hue to it. When I asked her if it would get blonder, she told me I could wash it the next day and that doing so would help it to get blonder.

To make a long story short, I washed it the next day and after washing, my hair had GRAY in it!!!! GRAY!! I am 24 and don’t have gray hair! To make matters worse, I had to go to church that day and when I did, one of the men there complimented it telling me that it matched his (this gentleman was prob. over 50). I seriously almost cried right there! I was mortified and called my hairdresser and thankfully, she washed my hair that night and got all of the gray hue out. I am so sorry you went

through what you did Tracy. I admire you for speaking up and saying that it wasn’t right because when things like that happen to me, I often am nervous to stand up for myself at the fear of hurting someone else’s feelings. Your hair looks great, but I know you wanted something completely different. You deserve to get it fixed and I can’t wait for you to be happy and pleased with the end result. :-) Thanks for making this video in order to prevent other people from going through it.
