I am thinking about changing my career path from the medical field to becoming a nail technician. I have always loved to do nails with my friends and family, but always thought that I needed to be more of a “professional”, but I am totally not happy. I wonder if starting school for nails at the age of 43 is not a good idea. What do you think?

Nail school at 43 is great! Why not? You are still young! It will feel great to be back in school studying something you love. Nail Tech’s are professionals and if you treat it like a business it can be one. Once you get licensed, start doing nails on the side of your regular job. Get your feet wet, build up your client base and focus on building your Nail Business. If you find you are doing really good and have a solid plan, you can then think about what career path you want to take.
