TRUE LIFE: WHERE IS A GYATDAMN BLACK HAIR SALON IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD?!?!?

CLICK SHOW MORE AND READ PLEASE!!! Help me help my friend. She is in the beginning stages of doing research for her voodoo innovation technologies. #blackgirlsarefromthefuture. “There seems to be a need for a online service/destination that assists Black women in finding and reviewing satisfactory salons both in their hometowns and abroad nationally and internationally, but there is no such service out there yet. At best, there’s Yelp, but the reviews of Black hair salons on the site are scant and sporadic. A survey amongst Black women who are actively engaged in hair content online would best determine and prove/disprove the actual need for this service, and allow the creation of such service to become possible.” GOAL: I create a mashup video to show that we need this service in our lives!!! WHAT I NEED FROM YOU: a 1-2 minute video (seriously — if it goes ridiculously over, I’m not using it) where you tell a quick anecdote about the struggles of finding a black hair/natural hair salon, and/or why you need a online service to help you locate one, and/or how amazing it feels when you find one/sucky it feels when you can’t. NO BACKGROUND MUSIC PLEASE. JUST YOUR VOICE DEADLINE: SATURDAY MARCH 9, 2013 I can’t guarantee that I’ll use every video, but I really do appreciate you!! PLEASE BEAUTIFUL BROWN PEOPLE OF YOUTUBE. I NEED YOUR HELP.

When I lived in L.I. NY, I went to a natural hair salon and credit the beautician with educating me about expectations with my hair and growing out my hair with mini twists. Now I live in West Texas and I would have to 6 to 8 hours out to a large city for such a service……

We don’t have a problem in London, you get screamed at just walking along on the street here’s an example “Auntie can I do your hair” (they tend to be African women).

That was so cool that you left time you saw the small tooth comb – more women need to react just the same way when these salons start in with their tom foolery!

I gave up on black salons, they are too unprofessional and ignorant about black hair.
